Who is Susan Abulhawa?

Susan Abulhawa is often introduced as a celebrated Palestinian-American author, but her real record that deserves the spotlight is one of glorifying terrorism, spreading antisemitism, and openly calling for Israel’s destruction.

Abulhawa’s life is overflowing with extreme anti-Israel and antisemitic sentiment. As a professional author, she participates in the “Palestine Writes” festival alongside other extreme voices such as Noura Erakat. She has also compiled essay collections, such as 2026’s Every Moment Is A Life, which featured illustrations by Rama Duwaji, first lady of New York City through her marriage to Zohran Mamdani (who distanced himself and his wife from Abulhawa after enormous criticism, despite evidence that shows their connection).

In Abulhawa’s personal life, her social media accounts are full of praise for terrorist groups, Holocaust denial, and calls for the wiping of the Jewish state of Israel, proving her to be a voice that goes beyond political opinion and far into pure hate.

How Has Susan Abulhawa Celebrated And Justified October 7th?

In line with her overall antisemitic narrative, Susan Abulhawa has celebrated and justified the events of October 7th, 2023 over and over again, as well as spread completely unsubstantiated conspiracy theories surrounding the attacks.

  • February 10th, 2025 – in an interview with “The Red Nation”, she claimed that October 7th was a “massive victory.” This is coming from someone claiming to be a “human rights” activist.
  • February 8th, 2025 – in a post on X, she wrote, “Palestinians did not commit a crime on October 7” and repeated the conspiracy theory that “Israel killed the majority” of its “own citizens” on that day.

  • January 2025 – she reposted a video on X that justified Hamas’s actions on October 7th and stated that its “alQassam Brigades is perhaps the most moral army in the world.”
  • October 21st, 2023 – she spoke at a rally in Philadelphia saying that the only people who support Israel in the United States are “corrupt leaders.”
  • October 12th, 2023 – in an article for The Electronic Intifada, she called October 7th “a spectacular moment” in which “brave Palestinian fighters overtook Israeli colonies…”
  • October 8th, 2023 – just one day after Hamas’s massacre of over 1,200 Israelis, she led a rally in Philadelphia in celebration. Riding on a flatbed truck, she waved a Palestinian flag and chanted “Long live the intifada!” Intifada is a violent uprising that continues today, marked by bombings, stabbings, hijackings, and suicide attacks against Jewish civilians.
  • October 7th, 2023 – she posted a video from her car appearing to celebrate the massacre.

What Antisemitic Propaganda Has Susan Abulhawa Spread?

Susan Abulhawa has spread antisemitic conspiracy theories to smear Jews as disloyal, powerful, and dangerous. She has also posted comments that completely dehumanize Jews and Israelis, and celebrate and call for their destruction.

  • March 16th, 2026 – on a video showing Israelis running from Iranian ballistic missile attacks, she commented, “I want these parasites to be made to run from north to south and east to west…or better yet, leave and go back where they came from…I have nothing but contempt for these morally aberrant creatures.”
  • March 16th, 2026 – she posted that “stealing is the most basic ‘Israeli’ cultural attribute.” Her use of quotation marks is especially key here – hint: she means Jews.
  • February 26th, 2026 – she posted about the “demonic Jewish state…slowly strangling Christianity” repeating centuries-old, ludicrous conspiracies about Jews being responsible for killing Jesus.
  • February 16th, 2026 – on X, she referred to Israel as “depraved child rapists, child killers, child eaters.”

  • November 6th, 2025 – she replied to a post about an Israeli medical delegation arriving in Jamaica to assist with hurricane relief with, “Dear Jamaican fam…hide your kids. Protect your organs,” perpetuating conspiracy theories about Israeli organ harvesting.
  • August 27th, 2025 – she referred to a “Jewish supremacist demon ‘investigation’.”
  • August 20th, 2025 – she said in an X post about Jews, “They’re not a single people who share biological congruity, not even ethnic or cultural congruity. They’re just greedy colonizers cobbled together to steal everything from us…”

  • June 2025 – during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, she posted, “y’all know the old chant: khaibar, khaibar, yayahood…” referring to the “Khaybar” chant that references the seventh-century Battle of Khaybar in which Muhammad and his followers slaughtered and enslaved Jews.
  • May 2025 – she called the two Jewish victims – a young couple who were due to be engaged – of the Washington, D.C Jewish Museum shooting “genocide cheerleaders” and indicated that the shooting had been “natural logic.”
  • December 8, 2024 – in an interview with a Russian TV program, she accused Jewish U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken of having a “single loyalty to Israel” in a conspiracy that implies Jews have built-in disloyalty based on religion.

How Has Susan Abulhawa Glorified Terrorism?

Abulhawa’s ties to extremists are…extreme. In 2019, she appeared in photos with Charlotte Kates of Samidoun, a U.S.-designated terrorist group with ties to the Popular Front for Liberation in Palestine (PFLP).  She has praised IRGC commander Qasem Soleimani, and filled her own website with images of infamous terrorists like Dalal Mughrabi and Ghassan Kanafani, as well as glorified Rasmea Odeh, convicted of bombing a supermarket that killed two students, and Leila Khaled, notorious for hijacking civilian airplanes.

  • February 2025 – she posted mourning the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, calling him a leader who “inspired” and “gave hope.” If by “giving hope” she meant giving speeches on how Jews “invented” the Holocaust themselves, sure.
  • October 2024 – she eulogized Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the architect of October 7th, saying his death “galvanizes all of us to have courage and resolve until the last moment.”

What Is Susan Abulhawa’s Record of Holocaust Denial And Inversion?

Abulhawa has repeatedly trivialized the Holocaust and compared Israel to Nazi Germany. She has called Israel a “Nazi state,” accused Zionists of embodying “Nazi sadism,” and smeared Israelis as “no different than Germans of Nazi Germany.” In her words: “Zionism is the contemporary face of Nazism and white supremacy.” She has also denied Jewish and Holocaust history altogether and parroted unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

  • July 31st, 2026 – she complained on X about how “the whole world is sick of hearing about it [the Holocaust]…we have to listen to more Holocaust whining…”

  • February 16th, 2026 – she posted, “I don’t know if Nazis incinerated living people as we’re told” but continued with saying that she knew for a fact that Israel did it in Gaza: “They turned whole neighborhoods into crematoria…vaporizing whole families.”

  • August 17th, 2025 – she posted an image of a Star of David on X and said it had “become an emblem of an evil not unlike the white hoods and swastikas.”

Conclusion: Susan Abulhawa is a Face of Unabashed Antisemitism

Susan Abulhawa is not simply a controversial writer – she is an unapologetic promoter of terrorism and antisemitism. By celebrating Hamas’s atrocities, spreading conspiracy theories, praising terrorists, denying Jewish history, and openly calling for Israel’s destruction, she has weaponized her public platform to legitimize violence against Jews both in the Middle East and in the West.

Unbelievably, Simon & Schuster updated her contract with a new book deal in 2026. What more does she need to say to show who she really is?
