Omar Mussa (also known as Omar Abdel Salam Saeed Dabbah Mussa) is an anti-Israel activist who organized and spoke at rallies following Hamas’s October 7, 2023 terror massacre. He has spread antisemitic rhetoric, participated in unlawful disruptions at state buildings, and aligned with extremist groups on Pennsylvania campuses and beyond.
Hatred of Israel After October 7 Massacre
On October 13, 2023, just days after Hamas slaughtered over 1,200 Israelis in the deadliest antisemitic attack since the Holocaust, Mussa helped organize an anti-Israel rally at Pennsylvania’s State Capitol in Harrisburg. Protesters displayed signs accusing Israel of “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing.”
Speaking in a video interview, Mussa referred to Gaza as an “open-air prison” and accused Israel of carrying out a “genocide right before our eyes.” He demanded an end to U.S. military aid to Israel and attacked the press for “covering the story incorrectly.” By framing Israel’s defensive war as “genocide” and delegitimizing security measures against Hamas, Mussa excused terrorism while vilifying Jews under attack.
Anti-Israel Disruption at Pennsylvania State Capitol
On February 5, 2024, Mussa again took the microphone at an anti-Israel protest held inside the Pennsylvania State Capitol rotunda. The event, organized by groups including CAIR and Jewish Voice for Peace, turned into a disruption that led to arrests.
Activists unfurled a banner declaring “Israel is a Terrorist Organization.” Mussa condemned Pennsylvania’s state treasurer for investing in Israeli bonds, calling on the state to “divest from genocide.” He said: “Our main message is to divest from genocide, to divest from war and to invest in PA.” He urged the crowd to pressure elected officials, equating U.S. taxpayer support for Israel with complicity in “murder.”
